Prof. Richard (Chunhui) Yang

Western Sydney University, Australia

Profile: Prof Richard Yang joined the School of Computing, Engineering and Mathematics in January 2012 as Associate Professor of Mechanical Engineering and Smart Structures and he was promoted as Professor in 2018. Prior to this, Richard was holding a position of Senior Lecturer in Mechanical Engineering, the School of Engineering, Deakin University (Deakin). Prior to his almost six-year working at Deakin University, he also has worked for a couple of years each in the University of Sydney (USyd) and Korea Advanced Institute of Science and Technology (KAIST) as post-doc research fellow after he finished his PhD in Mechanical Engineering in the University of Hong Kong (HKU) in 2002. He was awarded the Graduate Certificate for Higher Education by Deakin University in 2008.

In teaching, he mostly involves in Year-3/4 undergraduate and Year-2 postgraduate subjects in Mechanical Engineering and Robotics & Mechatronics with bringing teaching innovations and modern technologies into class, i.e. Mechanics of Materials, Dynamics of Machines, Finite Element Analysis, Computer-Aided Engineering, Mechanical/Mechatronic Design, Automated Manufacturing, Advanced Manufacturing, Industry 4.0, etc.
As for external service, he is serving as assessor for ARC, Editor-in-Chief, Associate Editor, editor board member, conference committee member, reviewers of international journals and conferences, examiner for HDR thesis, etc.

Prof. Shahid Hussain

Jiangsu University, China


Profile: Prof. Dr. Shahid Hussain by national: Pakistan, is currently working as Professor (Full) at School of Materials Science and Engineering, Jiangsu University, China. He completed his PhD degree in Chongqing University, 2015, after started Post-Doctoral research fellowship 2015-2017. He joined Jiangsu University as Associate Professor in July 2017 and based on his outstanding achievements and experiences, he was promoted as Full Professor in July, 2020, and was approved by the state, Govt of China.
Research foundation and working conditions At present, Dr. Shahid Hussain and the project team have executed a lot of work in the field of metal oxide, sulfides, MXenes and metal-organic based gas sensors, supercapacitors and LiS Batteries. He has published high quality research articles, and also has a wealth of experience, which laid a solid foundation for the project related research. Dr Shahid Hussain has excellent working experience on gas sensors and has been working on sensor device fabrication since 2011. He has published more than 260+ SCI indexed journal research articles with h-Index is 46 in Google Scholar with 7000 citations (Till date September 2023) and 11 book Chapters including Nano Energy, Chemical Engineering Journal, Journal of Hazardous Materials, Applied Materials & Interfaces, Journal of Materials Chemistry A, Sensors and Actuators B, Chemosphere, Inorganic Chemistry, Journal of Cleaner Production, Applied Surface Science, Electrochemica Acta, Materials Science and Engineering, etc and has impact factor ~ IF>1500. He is also working as an Editor for 17 SCI indexed journals (Elsevier, Springer, Frontiers, Hindawi, American Scientific Publishers and MDPI). Moreover, he has appeared as Keynote speaker in 21 international conferences and as Conference Chair in 3 international conferences. He also has an honorserving as a Coordinator for Materials Science Society of Pakistan (MSSP). He is also member for International Think Tank Institute of Peace and Development (INSPAD-UNO) since August 2020.

Prof. Liang Zhang

Xiamen University of Technology, China

Profile: Liang Zhang, postdoctoral professor, was selected as a "Min Jiang Scholar" in Fujian Province, a "Distinguished Researcher" in Henan Province, a young and middle-aged academic leader in the "Blue Project" in Jiangsu Province, and a high-level talent in the "Six Talent Peaks" in Jiangsu Province. Long-term engaged in welding materials and technology, electronic packaging and interconnection, solder joint reliability research. He has successively served as the executive director of the National Research Association for the Development of New Materials Technology, member of the Special Committee on Brazing and Special Bonding, member of the Committee of the Welding Branch of China Mechanical Engineering Society, member of the Youth Working Committee of China Welding Society, and Frontier in Materials. Deputy Editor-in-Chief, Editorial Board of Electronics Science Technology and Application, Editorial Board of Electronics and Packaging, and Member of Expert Committee of Packaging Engineering. The first young editorial board of Journal of Welding, China Welding, Welding and Machinery Manufacturing Abstracts-Welding Volume. Senior member of China Mechanical Engineering Society. Selected as a global TOP2% Scientist in 2019 and 2020 (Stanford University in the United States counted 7 million scientists in the world, and ranked the top 2% scientists). In 2013, he was promoted to associate professor, and in 2017, he was promoted to professor.

More than 100 SCI papers have been published in important academic journals at home and abroad, with the highest impact factor of 33.667 for a single paper, more than 2,000 citations by SCI and the H factor of 31. Authorized 17 national invention patents and won 11 awards at or above the provincial level.

Prof. Xiaobao Yang

South China University of Technology, China


Profile: Xiaobao Yang is a professor of College of Physics and Optoelectronic, South China University of Technology. He received his Ph.D. degree from Tsinghua University in 1999, and then worked as a postdoctoral researcher at City University of Hong Kong before joining South China University of Technology in 2010. He has published more than 80 SCI papers in international journals such as J. Am. Chem. Soc., Nano Research, Phys. Rev. B, Appl. Phys. Lett. etc. He has successively presided over projects of National Natural Science Foundation of China, provincial and ministerial level. In 2013, he was selected as one of the outstanding young teachers training programs in Guangdong Province, and in 2014, he was awarded the Guangdong Outstanding Youth Fund and selected as one of the special support programs in Guangdong Province.
